Uploading Videos On Web
Upload Your Video
Select Upload Video from the Create menu to get started. You can select a video to upload or drag one onto the web page.While the video is being uploaded to Halogen (and then transcoded), you'll see a progress bar.
Customize your video by adding:
- Thumbnail photo (optional)
If you don't select one, the first frame of your video is used. - Description (required)
Choose something that will make users want to watch! - Location (optional)
Locations are best when they're relevant to the video. If you're at a concert or a national park, for example, you might want to include one. - Cost (optional) and promoter share (also optional)
If you're adding a cost to your video, consider also adding a promoter share. The cost is the number of coins a viewer spends to watch your video. The promoter share is how much a promoter receives for each buyer they bring in. The more you offer promoters, the more promotions you'll get, and the more viewers you'll have! Learn more about promoting here. - Publish later (optional)
To publish the video in the future, select publish later and specify the date and time that you'd like to make the video public. This can be useful if you're producing a regular schedule of videos. You can upload several at a time, and know that they'll go live when they're scheduled to.
When you're ready to publish your video, click Publish Video. Your followers will be notified as soon as the video is available.
