Already know the next time you're going to go live? Schedule the broadcast ahead of time. Your followers will be notified when you schedule the broadcast, and also fifteen minutes before you go live. They can wait for you in a waiting room and see all of your broadcast, instead of missing the beginning because they didn't know when it was going to happen.
With a scheduled broadcast, you don't have to spend the first few minutes waiting for viewers to show up. They'll be there before you are. Scheduled broadcasts also make it easier to pre-promote your live streams. Your followers can promote them, too!

The cover photo
Perhaps the most important part of scheduling a broadcast is selecting the cover photo (or preview image). That's the image that your followers will see in notifications and in their feeds. If you don't have one, use your profile image.
If you're going to be broadcasting regularly, you may want to consider creating a single image to use for the series of broadcasts. That way, your followers can easily recognize that each new broadcast is a part of a series they're enjoying.
